South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius made headlines after a bloodied cricket bat was found covered in blood in his home, becoming solid evidence in his role in the murder of his own girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp.

This isn't the first time a personality has killed his girlfriend, and there have also been cases of celebrities suffering from emotional trauma at the hands of the creepiest and most obsessed fans in the world.

Phil Spector and Lana Clarkson

The legend who made a legend out of The Ramones, Ike and Tina Turner, The Ronettes, and John Lennon made headlines when he was charged with the murder of Lana Clarkson in 2003.

Back then, Clarkson was a struggling actress, one that Spector was said to have met in a bar. She was found dead with a gunshot on the mouth.

According to Telegraph, after two trials, the jury found Spector to be guilty, after five testimonies from Spector's acquaintances who claimed that they have been held at gunpoint by the record producer.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Dante Soui

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow had known what it feels like to always be anxious of being sexually assaulted after Dante Soiu, sent her sexually graphic materials to her LA home.

According to ABC News, it went so far as Soiu showing up at her house in person. The case was taken to court and Soiu was found to be legally insane and was sent to psychiatric lockdown.

Tim Shaw and the 90-cent car

British radio jock Tim Shaw has always been on the near side of trouble as a prankster and general rule breaker. He has once offered £30,000 to anyone who would find him while he was locked inside a small container box.

Fox News reports that Shaw announced during his radio shift that he was willing to leave his family for pin-up girl Jodie Marsh. Little did he know that his wife during his radio shift.

Luckily, this story did not end in a tragic bloodshed, but it didn't exactly end well in Shaw's favor either. As revenge, his wife took it out on his Lotus Esprit Turbo and put the car up on eBay for 90 cents.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Dawnette Knight

On the flip side of stalking, celebrities may also be on the brunt end of the emotion specter, and Catherine Zeta-Jones experienced this through Dawnette Knight. The 32-year-old stalker had reportedly sent threatening letters stating physical harm on the actress.

Pop Crunch reports that it all stemmed from Knight's delusion that she and Zeta-Jones's husband Michael Douglas should be together, and with the wife out of the picture, it would become a reality. For this, Knight was sentenced to three years of prison but not without taking its toll on Zeta-Jones, who suffered from a breakdown.

Sid and Nancy

Their names have become a phrase as old as time, often being seen as a kind of twisted Romeo and Juliet love affair gone bad. In 1978, Nancy Spungen, prostitute and girlfriend to Sid Vicious, the bassist for Sex Pistols, was found dead in the bathroom floor of a hotel with a single stab wound.

Her then boyfriend Vicious had been arrested and charged with the murder, as the murder weapon was his. Vicious overdosed a year later.

Recently, a documentary entitled Who Killed Nancy? was release, reports The Guardian. It was the attempt of Alan Parker, writer and friend of Vicious's mother who believed that his son was innocent of the murder.

There is still the debate on what really went down that tragic night, and even with the 182 interviews included in the documentary, the story of Vicious and Nancy remains the tragedy that it was 30 years ago.
