The Los Angeles Lakers (19-39) are reportedly shopping veteran guard Lou Williams ahead of the Feb. 23 NBA Trade Deadline. The Purple & Gold could be involved in a three-team trade with the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons, per fresh reports.

According to NBA insider Bruce Tennen (see tweets below), the Pistons, Lakers and Magic have engaged in a potential trade that would see point guard Reggie Jackson going to Orlando, the pair of Williams and Mario Hezonja going to Detroit and D.J. Augustin along with a protected 2017 first-round draft pick going to Los Angeles.

As for the draft pick, Tennen noted that Los Angeles Lakers would receive Detroit's 2017 first-round pick if Elfrid Payton is involved, and Orlando's 2017 first-rounder if the third-year point guard is excluded. The Lakers could concede their 2017 first-round pick to Philadelphia 76ers if they fall out of the top-3 during the NBA Draft Lottery in June.

Reggie Jackson trade: Orlando Magic very keen

On Wednesday, ESPN's Zach Lowe confirmed that Orlando Magic was vying for Jackson's services after Pistons coach-cum-president Stan Van Gundy placed the guard on the trading block. "Jackson remains in play for Minnesota (Timberwolves), Orlando (Magic), New Orleans (Pelicans), or some mystery destination. Even if Detroit keeps him (Jackson), missing the playoffs would put dramatic changes on the table this summer."

In recent years, the Lakers have been the least active team during the NBA Trade Deadline. However, general manager Mitch Kupchak has been candid about the front office wheeling-and-dealing ahead of the Feb. 23 cut off. "We are active, yes. We’re active every year. Quite frankly compared to the last three or four years, we have a lot of talent on this roster that I think a lot of people have interest in -- varying levels of interest. I would think there’s more meaningful discussions this year than there have been the last two or three years," Kupchak told the Los Angeles Times Wednesday.

The Lakers have reportedly made the veteran quartet of Luol Deng, Timofey Mozgov, Lou Williams and Nick Young are available for trade discussions but remain adamant about wanting to hold onto the young core of D'Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram and Julius Randle. "A lot of it depends on your roster and what it looks like. I really like this group; they get along really well together, the guys that are here as mentors and leaders are doing a great job. The young players are showing growth. So, it’s all good."
