Lorde walked off the stage of her own concert in Perth on Saturday.

The Kiwi Grammy winner was feeling ill not even half an hour through her show. She apologised to her fans and got off the stage, only to return five minutes later.

She was singing her track “Buzzcut Season” and dancing a bit of her signature moves when she suddenly addressed her fans.

“I’m just not feeling very well. I’m really sorry. Can you just please give me one second?” Lorde said fans before walking to the backstage. “I’m so sorry about this.”

She returned after a few minutes to continue her show.

“I must have eaten something weird,” she explained to the crowd at the Challenge Stadium, hinting that she threw up backstage. “I’ve never had to do that. I love you and I’m so grateful to be here.”

The show continued without a hitch after the short break, though she was seen wrapping a towel around her neck at one point.

She was still able to deliver a near-perfect performance, though it was apparent that she was less animated than before the break.

After her show, Lorde thanked the crowd for their understanding.

She wrote on Twitter:

thankyou for your kindness and your sensitivity last night, perth. i'll never forget it and i hope to see you again soon. lots of love. xox

Her fans were supportive, though, expressing their concern on social media.
