Lorde is set to perform in this year's Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Awards on Sunday.

The association's official website announced Thursday that the New Zealand-born singer is set to perform her latest single "Team" at the 17th ARIA Awards to be held at The Star's Event Centre in Sydney. The event will also be her first TV appearance in Australia, as the event will be broadcast live Via Nine Network's GO Channel.

ARIA's CEO Dan Rosen says of the teenager's inclusion in the performance lineup, "Lorde is an extremely talented artist and performer and one of the biggest artists in the world right now, so we are thrilled to be able to welcome her to this year's ARIA Awards as a special guest performer."

The announcement came just hours after Billboard announced that her single "Royals" remains at the number one spot in its Hot 100 charts for the ninth week. This record makes her the youngest solo female artist to top the charts in 25 years, and the first female in 17 years to top its Hot Alternative Songs chart last Aug.

Earlier this month Lorde, whose full name is Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor, appeared in the U.S. talk show The Late Show with David Letterman and performed a full-stream concert lasting 25 minutes. The show's host host David Letterman praised her performance, so much that he asked the Kiwi popstar to "come back often."

Lorde joins Alicia Keys as one of the awards night's special guests. Other performers in the lineup are Jessica Mauboy, last year's X Factor AU's grand winner Samantha Jade, Tame Impala and indie band Sheppard.

She first caught the music lovers' attention with her EP The Love Club released over her SoundCloud account, and then began entering music charts upon the release of "Royals." She launched her debut album Pure Royals in September, while her cover of Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was included on the sountrack album of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
