Singer Lorde proved she is a good friend to Taylor Swift when she defended her from DJ Diplo's nasty remarks on Twitter sometime back. But Lorde has finally ended the feud with Diplo over Taylor Swift by calling him her big brother. The "Royals" singer had earlier dissed Diplo on Twitter for the small size of his private parts. Lorde's reaction was a result of Diplo making fun of her good friend and singer Taylor Swift's bums on Twitter.

The multiple Grammy Award winning singer recently made fun of Diplo saying he has a "small penis" after he wrote a Tweet to one of the fundraising accounts asking them to pay for Lorde's bestie Taylor Swift so she can have a bigger butt. However Lorde has moved past the incident and says that Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, is like a big brother and there is no hatred between them over the incident.

"I love Wes and he's a big brother to me and one of my first friends in the industry, and part of having a friendship with someone like that is not letting them say stupid s**t," said Lorde, according to Daily Mail.

The New Zealand-based singer then insists that being a girl she found it hard to ignore any Tweet on her timeline that disses and makes fun of her friend (read Taylor Swift) and she felt she had to take some action.

However the songstress reveals that she has not been this outspoken all her life and this change has happened in her after she became successful in her career and took position as a leader. "It wasn't until I started to be able to run a board meeting and direct people in the way I wanted things to go that I gained confidence as a leader," said Lorde, according to the website.

Meanwhile on Thursday the singer, whose real name is Ella Yellich O'Connor, took home six awards at New Zealand Music Awards at Vector Arena in Auckland. It includes the award for the highest selling single for her hugely popular song "Royals," a gong for best pop album "Pure Heroine" and also the trophy for best female solo artist, among others.
