Fans took to social media after watching Thursday’s episode of Spike’s “Lip Sync Battle” to rave about the performances of Kaley Cuoco and Josh Gad.

“Big Bang Theory” lead actress Cuoco and “ The Book of Mormon” star Gad brought the house down during their highly entertaining numbers on the celebrity showdown. Cuoco proved to be a worthy contender, as she channeled Mystikal and Britney Spears. The 30-year old actress earned positive reviews from Twitter fans after lip syncing “Move B-----“ and “I’m a Slave For You.”

Perez Hilton’s site commended Cuoco’s performance with a post that read, “Kaley Cuoco’s Britney Spears impression on ‘Lip Sync Battle’ is everything!” Other Twitter users were also left impressed with Cuoco’s renditions.

It was Gad, however, who bagged the championship belt with his controversial performance of “I Touch Myself” dressed as Donald Trump, plus a shocking lip lock with actor Johnny Galecki. Galecki, Cuoco’s ex-boyfriend, is also her co-star in “Big Bang Theory.” Gad generously retweeted fans’ posts about his numbers, and even responded to some. He also took to Twitter to thank the crew of Spike for helping him with the choreography.

Joe Adalian, West Coast editor for New York Magazine’s Vulture, was among those who praised Gad’s performance. “Instantly a contender for one of 2016’s top comic moments (even if it’s only January) from @joshgad,” he wrote. Other fans also commended Gad’s performance.

The Cuoco vs Gad episode reached a total of 1.5 million viewers based on Nielsen L+SD cable data, Headline Planet reported. It also drew a 0.83 rating, higher than the 0.67 rating posted by the previous episode.

Apart from the show’s latest installment, the second season’s pilot episode featuring Channing Tatum and his wife Dewan also trended in social media. Tatum dressed as Elsa from “Frozen” and lip synced “Let it Go,” and gamely channeled Beyonce through his rendition of “Run the World (Girls).” The singer herself showed up during his performance.

On Feb. 4, the show will pit “The Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev against American football quarterback Tim Tebow. "Lip Sync Battle," hosted by LL Cool J, airs in the US every Thursday at 10/9c on Spike.
