Lindsay Lohan and Egor Tarabasov ended their relationship in July. She recently claimed that she feared her ex would splash acid on her face, adding that her relationship with Tarabasov was an abusive one.

In an interview with Russian TV’s Channel One, Lohan said Tarabasov would beat her throughout the relationship, to the extent that she had to cover her bruises. The troubled Hollywood actress said she called off her toxic engagement to Tarabasov after a string of rows which turned violent. She also said that she supported him financially, buying her own engagement ring, which would explain why she still wears it, even after their split. Tarabasov is the son of a wealthy Russian businessman.

“He does not have money. What could I do? We lived in my home. I paid for everything,” Lohan said.

She also said that Tarabasov attacked her on the balcony of their apartment in London. She explained that she had gone to bed and Tarabasov broke into the house and started strangling her.

“I feared that Egor may splash acid in my face. I jumped out to the balcony and shouted with all my force, ‘He’s trying to kill me, call the police!’ I am lucky to come to Moscow to speak,” Lohan said in the interview.

Lohan further said that the abuse made her look more like her mother, Dina, who was allegedly in an abusive relationship with Michael Lohan.

Tarabasov has also spoken up about this matter. In a statement released to E! News on Wednesday, he said, “It has come to my attention that my former fiancé, Lindsay Lohan, is planning a new smear campaign against me in the Russian and international media.”

He said that his relationship with Lohan came to an end in July and in the weeks that followed, she had numerous attempts to discredit his name by inaccurately portraying the nature of their relationship, publishing distorted facts and making false accusations.
