LG recently announced through the company's press releases that LG Nitro HD which is also known as the LG Optimus LTE in Korea is set to be released by December 2011.

The LG Nitro HD has a 4.5-inch HD touchscreen display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP HD camera, and 20GB of total memory (4GB internal memory and 16GB via In-box microSD). LG Nitro HD has a slim design (5.27" X 2.67" X 0.41") which makes it easy to use for consumers. It also supports display resolutions up to 1280x720 pixels and offers good color accuracy, brightness, battery efficiency, and performance. This smartphone also allow users that capability to capture and view true HD images and videos and let users share it through the smartphone's Wi-Fi Direct technology which also offers wireless HD content streaming options.

LG Nitro HD is part of AT&T's new 4G LTE network and is the first smartphone under AT&T that will provide a true HD experience for users. Tim O' Brien, VP of marketing for LG mobiles mentioned that LG Nitro HD "pushes the boundaries" of possibilities in mobile devices at present time. He also mentioned that "LG Nitro HD will be the first smartphone available for AT&T to feature True HD AH-IPS capabilities, and the advantages of a crystal clear display are immediately evident after seeing the device first hand. In addition to sporting the clearest and crispest display on the market, LG Nitro HD will be one of the fastest and most powerful smartphones available." Jeff Bradley, Senior VP for Devices, AT&T Mobility remarked that the LG Nitro HD is one of the carrier's last smartphones to arrive this year and described its arrival as "closing the year with a bang". He also remarked that" We've seen others get close to a true HD experience on Android superphones this year, but Nitro HD is the one that does it right." AT&T also mentioned that the company plans to reach 70 million Americans in terms of marketing 4G LTE by the end of this year.

LG Nitro HD will be released through AT&T stores and online on December 4, 2011 for only US$24.99 with a two-year commitment. Presently, release dates of LG Nitro HD in Australia and Europe has not been announced.
