The long-anticipated Google Nexus phones are now on sale in Australia with Google announcing the pricing and availability of the phones today.

The latest Google devices with fingerprint scanner; USB Type-C ports and Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board can now now be pre-ordered from the Australian Google Store. Google teamed-up with LG and Huawei to manufacture its latest line of Nexus devices, which were launched at the Google event in September.

LG Nexus 5X

It's the smaller offering form the tech giant and positioned as a mid-range smartphone. Nexus 5X will be available in two different storage sizes -- 16 GB and 32 GB -- with a price tag of AU$659 and AU$739, respectively.

Google Store will offer the phone in Blue, Black and White colour options for Australian users. The 5X sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display and is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor with 2 GB of RAM; houses a 2700mAh battery and features a 12.3 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera.

In Australia, Telstra is the only telecom company to offer the LG Nexus 5X, reports CNET. The Go Mobile plan will cost AU$70 per month with no charges on the handset on a 24-month contract.

In Store: For the launch, prominent Australian retail partners include JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman. JB Hi-Fi has the 32 GB model at AU$739, same as the Google Store price. Harvey Norman is selling both the variants but only in black.

Huawei Nexus 6P

Nexus 6P is the first full-metal body Nexus device with a bigger 5.7-inch QHD display. The device is powered by an eight-core 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3 GB of RAM. It also sports a 3450mAh battery; a 12.3 MP camera at the back and an 8 MP front snapper.

The Nexus 6P can be pre-ordered from the Google Play Store starting at AU$899. The larger phablet is available in Aluminium, Graphite and Black with 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage options. The 64 GB and 128 GB models are available from the Google Store at $999 and $1,099, respectively.

Optus and Vodafone will offer the Nexus 6P in Aluminium. The former will come with the 32 GB version whereas Nexus 6P with 64 GB storage option will be offered by Vodafone.

In Store: Both JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman will sell only the 64 GB aluminium version for AU$999. Outright purchases will be open from Nov. 3, as reported by The Australian.
