LG Nexus 4 vs. Samsung Galaxy S3: Google Phone More Expensive Due to Low Supply [PHOTOS]

The LG-made smart phone Google Nexus 4 is currently facing the dilemma of low supply and high demand.

As a consequence, LG Nexus 4 price is more expensive compared to Samsung Galaxy S3 that is easily obtainable worldwide.

Despite the reappearance at the Google Play Store, LG was unsuccessful in meeting the consumers' increasing demand resulting to a disastrous 4 to 5 weeks shipping delay for the 16GB Nexus 4 and a much worse delay of 4 to 9 weeks for the 8GB base model shipment.

LG Nexus 4 with a 16GB memory is worth $700. The smart phone runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 with a 2GB RAM and 8GB or 16GB storage capacity. It also sports a 4.7-inch IPS display with 768 x 1280 pixels resolution which shows an impressive 318 pixels per inch density.

The LG Nexus 4 additional feature is a front-facing HD video chat camera plus a back-facing primary 8-megapixel camera.

On the other hand, a 16GB Samsung Galaxy S3 costs $550 with some third-party retailers offering a reduced price of $490 to $520 to consumers.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 ships with Android Ice Cream Sandwich but a Jelly Bean update can be applicable on the first boot with a dual-core processor and 2GB RAM in the United States or a quad-core processor plus a 1GB RAM if the device is purchased overseas.

The smart phone has a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution that shows 306 pixels per inch density. The Samsung Galaxy S3 also has a front-facing 1.9-megapixel HD camera and a back-facing 8-megapixel primary camera.

Google Play Store has reportedly set a limit this week on the number of LG Nexus 4 devices that can be sold per customer. The company's approach may control the delivery of the latest smart phone as well as its expensive price due to lack of supply and consumers' high demand.
