LG certainly has a lot on its plate of late. The company has just recently sent out invites for an October 1 event in New York.

To date, no other significant details have been revealed about the upcoming event, except for its date. It is assumed that LG wants to make it known to the public that certain devices are coming, especially now that its rival companies have released new products or are gearing up for their own product releases as well.

Taking a look at the tech market calendar, LG's October 1 event is only several days before Microsoft's scheduled Windows 10-centered event in New York and a couple of days after Google's exhibit in San Francisco, according to CNET.

Shortly after news of LG's upcoming event came out, avid LG tech users were quick to speculate that the company could finally unveil the V10. This upcoming smartphone is one of the company's most-awaited handsets, especially because of the secondary auxiliary ticker display above its screen.

Images of the V10 had previously been leaked by TENAA, a telecommunications equipment certification center in China. As proof that the device in the photos is the V10, it was stamped with the model number LG-H968 and a V10 stamp on its rear.

Taking a look at LG's latest mobile devices, it would seem that the company has experimented quite a lot when it comes to its units' designs in its effort to keep itself afloat in a very competitive environment. For instance, LG has previously launched G Flex, its bendable curved handset.

The Internet is currently abuzz with speculations that the LG V10 is going to boast a 5.7-inch Quad HD screen with 2,560 x 1,440 ppi and a Snapdragon 808 processor. It will also reportedly feature 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage and a slot for a MicroSD card.

However, LG has yet to issue a statement confirming such reports.
