LG officially launched today the much anticipated Optimus G 'Superphone' on the Telstra network in Australia. The 'Superphone' is offered at $0 upfront on the $60 Every Day Connect Plan for 24 months contract which consists of $600 worth of calls, unlimited SMS messages and 1GB of data.

The first 5000 people who purchased the 'Superphone' will be given an added free gift when a Miracast Wireless Adaptor is purchased as well. LG Optimus G will be available in other retailer stores across Australia like Phone Zone, Leading Edge and JB Hi-Fi. The electronics company announced as well their plan on pursuing technological improvements in the 4G/LTE feature.

Speaking at the official Australian launch of the Optimus G in Sydney today, LG Australia's General Marketing Manager, Lambro Skropidis, stated during the LG Optimus G launch in Sydney today that the company's most important challenge is to educate the consumers about the remarkable software features available on the smart phone.

"LG continues to lead the industry with 4G/LTE innovation and the Optimus F Series handsets are well-balanced and well-equipped 4G/LTE smartphones for the mass market. They embody the best of our broad LTE patent portfolio and innovative UX features," Skropidis declared.

"With adoption of 4G/LTE expected to explode in 2013, we are sending a clear message to consumers with the Optimus G and Optimus F Series that LTE isn't just for heavy content users and technophiles anymore. It's for everyone," Skropidis further added.

The LG Optimus G smart phone offers the following remarkable multi-tasking features:

1. QSlide Function. It shows up to 3 applications simultaneously in just one display. Users can open and run different applications at the same time like sending a text message or browsing the web while watching a video and then fade the application transparency in and out for maximized viewing and usage.

2. Dual Screen/Dual Play. The feature has the capability to show different contents on the TV and the smart phone screen. For instance, a slideshow presentation can be viewed on the TV while the Optimus G smart phone displays the additional speaking notes.

3. QuickMemo. It allows the device enthusiasts to capture screen images and write or draw a memo with the use of a finger directly on the captured screen. Information can then be shared with friends as a file attachment or URL.

4. Live Zooming. The feature increases the users' video-watching experience as they zoom in up to five times the original video picture size while being played.
