LG is reportedly unveiling its flagship G6 phone on Feb. 26 at the Mobile World Congress 2017. The premium Android phone will be filling the void created by the South Korean tech giant Samsung as it has decided to give the event a miss by not announcing the Galaxy S8 smartphone. Now, an image of the LG G6 has been leaked online that shows a stunning design. The smartphone will feature a large 5.7-inch Display with minimal bezels and an unusual 2:1 aspect ratio.

According to The Verge, who also obtained the first image of the LG G6 phone, states that the handset’s screen-to-bezel ratio is greater than 90 percent. It also has curved display corners. LG has been laying immense focus on the design of the G6 smartphone after abandoning the modular design of the G5. An insider source has revealed that the G6 will be made entirely out of glass and metal. The headphone jack will be included in the device and the smartphone may also be made waterproof.

The LG G6 will come with a non-replaceable battery and rear design of the phone, including the centre-mouthed fingerprint scanner and the dual-camera system will make a comeback. The handset is rumoured to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor though Forbes has confirmed the G6 will be running on a Snapdragon 821 chipset. An earlier leaked image of the handset showed a thinner body without any camera bumps.

All-screen phones will very well become the new standard for smartphones though currently, Xiaomi Mi Mix is the closest competitor to LG G6 in terms of an all-screen display. However, Samsung Galaxy S8 may also come with such a screen. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on LG G6 specs and features.
