LG G5 will be hitting the Australian markets by next month. Its pricing and carrier availability for Australia has been revealed.

The LG G5 will be available for purchase in Australia through Harvey Norman and Optus from May 2. Telstra will begin LG G5 sales from May 3. It will be available with a price tag of $1,099. As of this writing, Australian carriers have not announced their plans for LG G5, Lifehacker reported.

The LG G5 comes with a unique modular design that allows users to easily attach various kinds of modules such as Cam Plus that is priced at $129, a 360-degree camera module that costs $399, a B&O Hi-Fi Plus module that costs $229, a Rolling Bot module that is priced at $399 and a Charging Kit module that is priced at $69.95.

The aforementioned modules will be also available for purchase in the next month. The price of the LG 360 VR headset has not been disclosed yet. Unlike other VR headsets such as Gear VR and HTC Vive VR that requires users to attach the smartphone to the headset for VR experience, the LG 360 VR comes with inbuilt lenses because of which users are not required to attach the LG G5 to the VR headset.

The LG G5 has a 5.3-inch display that supports Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels The Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4 GB of RAM are present under the hood of LG G5. It comes with a native storage of 32 GB.it carries support for microSD card storage.

It features a dual-camera setup that includes two cameras of 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel. The front panel houses an 8-megapixel camera. Other features of the LG G5 include USB Type-C, USB OTG and a fingerprint reader. It is packed with a battery of 2800 mAh capacity.
