Even before the launch, the LG is confident and proud about the main camera lens with f/1.8 aperture, which is the brightest among the current Smarphones and definitely a colossal enhancement over its previous LG G3 model with f/2.4 aperture. Perhaps, the highlighted G4 f/1.8 confronts the Samsung’s Galaxy S6 f/1.9 camera , while the LG camera phone's teaser videos furtively speak about this challenge to the target audience.

A teaser video of LG smartphone proclaims with Colby Brown, the professional photographer, saying, “Even a small difference of a f0.1 aperture becomes incredibly important”, without mentioning the name Samsung S6. May be this direct swipe can make the potential customers of S6 to delay the purchase, until the release of LG G4. Paul Monckton writes in the Forbes that 0.1 does not make a great difference, excepting ten to fifteen percentage of more light capture through the G4 lens than the S6, while the resolution remaining the same.

Manual adjustments

The photography enthusiasts welcome the manual control option over ISO, white balance and shutter speed and it gets demonstrated in the teaser video. Further, it may also include longer exposure up to 30 seconds, especially to capture a milky waterfall or light trails. Long exposure app may not be new, but the current smartphones involve tricks like combining the video frames through still images, which often result in poor resolution. Probably, the G4 will backup Google Camera2 API for shooting raw image. Automatic shots are quite pleasing with the technology of Apple and Samsung flagships and let us watch how LG G4camera phone contends with them.

Design

The Samsung may boast with the best cameras on the G6, but the super thin and glossy model makes it hard to grip, while the G4’s leather finish seldom slips down while focusing through the camera. Along with that the video teaser boasts with Quick Shot feature through the rear button. Without accessing the camera app on the phone, simply double-tap on the G4 screen to take a potentially quick shot.

Battery and storage

The Galaxy S6’s most criticized irremovable battery system and unavailable expandable memory have been hooked by the G4 phone’s 3000mAh detachable battery and a slot for MicroSD, which are definitely a boon to the photographers, who may want to extend the storage for energy sapping shots.

Although the early details are promising, it is definitely tough for the latest LG G4 to compete with the Galaxy S6, says the Forbes.
