Apparently, LG is gearing up to release its 2015 flagship, the G4. A recent report states that, the LG G4 will take down the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet head-on.

Although the reports from Asia are unconfirmed, the LG team is reportedly equipping the G4 with a "stylus" in the likes of the Galaxy Note 4's S Pen. This will enable the humongous phablet to be in direct opposition to the unbeatable Samsung device. Based on the reports, LG has filed a trademark of the "LG G Pen" during the first half of December. Apparently, the company has taken a cue from the success story of Samsung's S Pen stylus and thereby it is working on a slew of software features to make the LG G4 stylus multitask better than the competitor, says GSM Arena.

As far as the key specifications go, the LG G4 will reportedly feature a 5.3-inch display, complemented by a QHD resolution and the display will come with narrow bezels, similar to the 2014 flagship G3. Under the hood, the handset is expected to be powered by the latest 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Plus, the handset will reportedly be backed by a killer 4 GB of RAM. With respect to camera specification, the phone is expected to feature a humongous 20.7 MP primary camera unit, similar to the Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact.

When it comes to memory configuration, the LG G4 will apparently come equipped with 32 GB and 64 GB of internal storage choices. To top it off, the whole configuration will be held together and powered by a whopping 3500 mAh battery unit, says GSM Dome. Even though LG has not confirmed any of the information given above, there is a good chance that LG may be opting for a G Pen, opines the same site. Also it is worth mentioning that the LG will pull the plug off its Pro series of devices.

On the other hand, the much-awaited Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) is nearing close and the LG G4 with G Pen could be one of the devices scheduled for its launch in March 2015. What do you think of the LG G4 G Pen? Can the G4 give tough competition to the Galaxy Note 4? Feel free to leave a comment.
