LG G3 users will be pleased to find out that the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update will start rolling out. Specifically, Verizon users will soon have their access to the build. As with other Android updates, the release depends on the region and network provider thus the early or delayed access for some users.

Just a few days ago, Big Red began rolling out Google's Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update to the present LG flagship. To be certain, users should check if their software version number is VS98523A. As with other Android Lollipop update releases, LG G3 users should expect the following features: Lollipop's Material Design, new and improved "Recent apps" menu, latest ART compiler that allows apps to run faster and better battery life thanks to Project Volta. People can also have access to the new Quick Settings menu and Lock screen notifications.

It is best for users to free as much space as possible to make sure they can accommodate the update. Likewise, users must secure that their WiFi connection is steady and reliable to avoid problems and possible corrupted files. Charge the device up to more than 50% or at least plug the device to guarantee that there are no power interruptions.

People only need to wait for notifications to check if their phone is qualified for the update already. Follow the download prompt to install and update. It is also possible to update and check software manually. To do this, go to Settings > General > Systems Updates. Users are advised to check with their respective carriers for additional requirements and exact release date of the builds.

Google released the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update in light of user complaints and other problems associated with the original Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The Android 5.1 update is also coming but no word yet from LG about it.
