It is all about the Google Android 5.0 Lollipop these days and LG lines up as among the first to roll it out officially.

Android users have been on the lookout for the official release of the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Google has started with its Nexus line but other manufacturers have yet to follow the company's footsteps. Fortunately for LG G3 users, they will be among the first ones to get the firmware. According to BGR, LG G3 owners will be the first non-Google group to access the OS software.

The announcement came from LG claiming that the G3 will be the first to gt the 5.0 treatment. Poland has started the roll out with other regions to follow. Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG, shared LG's plans: "LG is absolutely committed to giving our customers the best mobile experiences available and bringing Android Lollipop to G3 owners as soon as possible is a top priority."

"The new features and improvements in Android 5.0 will bring a whole new user experience to the G3 and make it even better than it already is." The CEO added.

As for other manufacturers, Pocket-link notes that HTC usually follows a 90-day promise on its releases. This means that the HTC One will soon be upgraded. The 90-day allowance already started last November 4. If HTC will follow this strictly then people can expect the M7 and M8 official updates released around February 2015.

HTC claimed that the company remains excited about the Android Lollipop features. The company has been working on making sure it can share the update to its users with the HTC One family to be upgraded as soon as possible. Another report from LlabTooFeR says that the time frame for the HTC One M8 and M7 update will around January to February 2015. Users are advised to stay tuned and wait for other announcements from their carrier.
