LG G Flex2 is the new flagship smartphone from the South Korean tech giant that was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015 show today. Compared to the predecessor handset, the LG G Flex, the newer model is more compact and sports a very curvy design.

According to GSMArena, the LG G Flex2 houses a curved 5.5-inch P-OLED that supports full HD resolution with a pixel count of 403 ppi. The predecessor model came with a huge 6-inch screen that supported only 720 pixels resolution. The screen is protected by LG's homemade glass cover that is said to be 20 percent more durable compared to Gorilla Glass 3. The rear side of the handset has a self-healing panel that allows it to automatically fix minor scratches in about 10 seconds.

The LG G Flex2 is the first ever smartphone to come with Snapdragon 810 chipset featuring a 64-bit octa-core processor that contains a Cortex A53 quad-core processor that produces a clocking speed of 1.5 GHz and another quad-core processor that clocks at 2 GHz. It also includes a very powerful Adreno 430 graphics. The handset will be available in two storage options, namely 16 GB and 32 GB. The 16 GB device will come with 2 GB of RAM and the 32 GB device will feature 3 GB of RAM.

The rear camera of LG G Flex2 is of 13 MP that comes with features like laser autofocus, optical image stabilization (OIS) and dual-LED flash. It supports 2160 pixels and full HD video shooting. The front-facing camera is of 2.1 MP and its supports only full HD recording. The handset comes preloaded with Android v5.0.1 Lollipop OS.

The LG G Flex2 features numerous connectivity features like 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth v4.1, a-GPS and GLONASS. The device is packed with a non-removable Li-Po 3000 mAh capacity battery. The LG G Flex2 will be available in two colour options, Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red.

AT&T has announced that will support the LG G Flex2 but did not reveal anything on plans and pricing. Sprint too has not announced a launch date or pricing details but it has declared that it will sell the 'volcano red' coloured edition of LG G Flex2.
