“Arrow” star Stephen Amell will be appearing as an older Oliver Queen in “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.” The 34-year-old Canadian actor will reprise his role as the Green Arrow with a missing arm in the sixth episode of new series.

Amell already had a cameo in the show’s first episode last week, but his upcoming appearance will be longer.

In the episode, the group led by Rip Hunter (former “Doctor Who” star Arthur Darvill) will travel to the year 2046 to defeat Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). They will encounter the future Oliver Queen, who is now sporting a goatee.

“We’re not only introducing our version of Connor Hawke to our universe, we’re going to meet the 2046 version of Oliver Queen, and Stephen Amell is going to be reprising his role from Arrow,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim said in a statement to ComicBook.com. Connor is Oliver’s son in the comics and is also the second Green Arrow.

“As an added bonus to comic book fans, Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal Dark Knight Returns,” Guggenheim continued. “We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.”

Amell also confirmed his character’s appearance on Facebook, saying, “I’m going to appear on Legends of Tomorrow with the goatee, one arm and Connor Hawke. The lesson is always, ‘Never say never.’”
