“The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild” has finally been confirmed for launch on March 3 alongside the Nintendo Switch. And as the weeks lead up to the release, more and more details of the game are being revealed to the public.

In recent history, video games have taken a less linear approach and have provided multiple endings to their stories, and this is what “Breath Of The Wild” will offer as well. Producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed the same in an interview with IGN Portugal (via Nintendo Life), which will be released in full sometime in the next few days. “Yes, there is an alternate ending,” he confirmed. “There is a criteria you have to fulfil to see it.. Essentially, you do specific things and you’ll see a different ending.”

As the publication has further reported, this will not be the first time that Nintendo will feature alternate endings. In “The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask,” players could see different credit sequences based on their collection of masks. On the other hand, the endings of “Spirit Track” slightly differed based on how players answered the questions near the end of the game. “Link’s Awakening” also offered an alternate ending if players did not die throughout the entire duration of the title.

The criteria of the various endings for “The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild” is still unknown at this point, as is the number of endings that Nintendo has installed in the game. More details are likely to be released as the launch date draws nearer. The game, however, can already be preordered here.

“The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild” will be compatible with both the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U. Along with the game, “Skylanders Imagination,” “Just Dance 2017” and “Super Bomberman R” will also launch with the Switch.
