“Left 4 Dead 3” gamers have long been waiting for Valve to make an official announcement regarding the game’s official release date. Sadly, since Valve has opted to keep mum about it, fans have resorted to coming up with speculations of their own.

According to Quik Docs, Valve used a certain level from the game’s older version to test out what the Source Engine 2 can do. When they decided to do this, fans expected that they will also go on to announce something linked to “Left 4 Dead 3.” Sadly, they did not say anything about it.

The report went on to say that “Left 4 Dead 3” game was even spotted in an internal bug tracking database that Valve uses, but they have still been quiet. It would appear that the game is being used to determine what the Source Engine 2 can and cannot do, as well as figuring out the engine’s new features.

Moreover, gamers say that they saw a “Left 4 Dead 3” reference in “Dying Light.” If the player look through the window in one of the buildings, a store can be seen with the sign that says, “Left 4 Bread.” Gamers are convinced that this was Valve’s way of teasing their fans without revealing anything – something that they have been quite known for over the years.

Valve is known for its silence with regards to the announcement of the release dates of their highly anticipated games. They will not even appease their fans by giving hints on whether or not the game is in its development stages.

Gamers were excited about the GDC 2015 and expected Valve to make the announcement then and there, according to Day Herald. Sadly, however, the event ended without any word about “Left 4 Dead 3,” and another much awaited game, “Half-Life 3.”
