The latest Nintendo Direct brought about many exciting gaming news for fans. Aside from new titles, new remasters, updates and more, Nintendo also surprised fans with new details on “Super Smash Bros.”

At the end of the recent Nintendo Direct, the company revealed that Cloud Strife from “Final Fantasy VII” will be joining the roster of the hit game. Although Cloud is an odd addition to the roster, fans were not too surprised as there are already a lot of third-party characters in the game. Aside from Cloud, a new stage based of on Midgar from “Final Fantasy VII” was also revealed as an upcoming feature of the title.

Nintendo also said that it will hold another Nintendo Direct this December. This time, it will be aimed toward updates on “Super Smash Bros.” Apparently, it will also be the last time that Nintendo will be focusing its update videos on the game, Go Nintendo reports.

There’s no specific release date as to when the Nintendo Direct will be showcased, and details about the upcoming video update is vague. Since it is the last Nintendo Direct for “Super Smash Bros.,” the company could reveal the winners of the fighter’s ballot. The three winners will be added to the roster of “Super Smash Bros” as downloadble content (DLC).

This isn’t the first “Super Smash Bros.” focused Nintendo Direct, Polygon reports. All in all, there have been three Nintendo Directs solely for “Super Smash Bros.” The latest Nintendo Direct for the game was held at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) last June. It announced Lucas, Ryu and Roy to the game. It is expected that more fighters will be revealed at the scheduled Nintendo Direct this December.
