“The Last Kingdom” Season 2 has entered the post production phase of development. Two new videos from the studio in London have been released online, to show the fans how Alexander Dreymon works behind-the-scenes.

The two videos are from the recording studio, where the cast and crew do the Automated Dialogue Recording (ADR). The star of the show, Dreymon (Uhtred of Bebbanburg) gave the fans a tour and introduced some of the crew members in the videos.

In this phase the production team matches the dialogues to the visuals that were previously recorded on the set. They also try to keep the sound on the same level, to make sure there aren’t any disturbing ups and downs in the volume of the different sounds.

One key element in this process is to remove any unwanted noise from any given scene. Dreymon explained how there may be the sound of a car’s motor running or a plane flying overhead, while they are filming a scene. So, the production team tries to keep the sounds they want, like that of horses.

There are also times when there are problems with an actor’s diction, and the audience can’t hear the dialogues properly. Dreymon joked that this happens to him often.

Dreymon also showed his workstation in the studio, where he records his dialogues. He was not allowed to share any of the scenes from the next season, but he did show how he recorded the dialogues for the intro.

Each episode of the show begins with Uhtred explaining his background. He gives a short recap of where he has been and what he has done. “The Last Kingdom” Season 2 will also begin with Uhtred giving an intro of his childhood and the events of the first season. The second video contains a few spoilers rfom the first season.
