To keep the fans engaged till the premiere of “The Last Kingdom” season 2, the marketing team has come up with a contest. Fans who are able to accurately answer the question will get a free emoji pint on Facebook.

“Why did Father Beocca want to baptise Uhtred again?” is the question posed on Facebook. There are three options to choose from, to make it easy for the fans. Each option seems convincing enough, and only those who have watched the show can answer correctly.

A previously released picture on the same Facebook page shows Alfred (David Dawson). The new King was interested in peace, but war is upon him. With the help of Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) the Saxons will have reclaim the lands that are now occupied by the Danes.

A post on the official Twitter page shows the family back ground of Uhtred and all his present connections. Though he was born a Saxon, the protagonist was raised by the Danes. This leads to the possibility of a lot of conflicts in “The last Kingdom” Season 2, as the hero may have to stand against the very man he once called brother.

So far, the bond between Uhtred and Ragnar (Tobias Santelmann) has been strong. With Brida (Emily Cox) joining the Danes again, the protagonist now stands alone with his Saxon king.

Filming has already wrapped for the new season. The show is now in the post production phase of development, which includes adding the sound and music to the scenes filmed.
