Global property portal Lamudi has listed 5 top tourists destinations in the Philippines which are also known as being close to nature spots which it recommends to people seeking properties in the country.

The Web site, which focuses on emerging markets and has a platform in 28 nations in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, has over 600,000 real estate listings across its network.

On top of its list is Caramoan in the province of Camarines Sur. Known for its rugged but pristine features, Caramoan was the location of reality show Survivor. The show featured its coastal mountains, white-sand beaches and limestone formations jutting from clear turquoise waters.

One property listed in Lamudi is a 3-hectare residential lot on Barangay Agaas where the future owner could build a house near Gota Beach, a hidden lagoon on Matukad Island or on Cotivas Island, known for its sandbars.

Second destination on the list is the northern province of Batanes - a known photographers' paradise because of its panoramic scenes featuring rolling hills, shores with a lighthouse on the background, the inviting Pacific Ocean and the picturesque old Ivatan stone houses and genteel residents.

There are three Batanes properties listed in Lamudi. One is a 20-sqm house on a 154 sqm lot found in the capital city of Basco, while there is a house on a 490 sqm lot and a 250 sqm land for sale in the town of Itbayat.

Third on the list is still in northern Philippines known for its rice terraces. This is Banaue in the province of Ifugao. The area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is considered an engineering marvel since the centuries-old terraced pond fields was carved into the mountainsides and considered as natural stairways to the sky.

Buyers of the 7 properties listed on Lamudi could visit as well other natural wonders in the vicinity such as the Chappa Falls, just a 60-minute walk from the town proper of the province, and the Tappiya Falls, found at the back of the Batad rice terraces.

The 7 properties listed in Ifugao range from a 106123 sqm lot to a commercial building made up of 148 sqm floor area and sitting on a 186 sqm lot.

The fourth area is still in northern Philippines, specifically in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. On sale is a 7,708-sqm beach lot where the future owner could build a vacation house or a beachfront resort.

Ilocos Norte, besides its Bangui windmills, is also a favourite tourist destination where visitors could drop by the Paoay Church, get a tan at the sand dunes of La Paz, take selfies or groupies at the Kapupurawan rock formation or the 80-foot Kabigan bridge, and stop by the Patapat Viaduct.

Finally, the fifth destination is considered the last frontier or the province of Palawan. CNN Travel called the province's El Nido beach as the top beach in the country and island destination. Tourists are drawn to El Nido's limestone cliffs, lagoons amid karst formations, and clean cyan waters where corals, tropical fish, turtles, dolphins, manta rays, dugongs, sharks and whales abound.

Property investors, while enjoying El Nido's picture-perfect sceneries, could also consider stopping by and inspecting a 4.5-hectare beach lot in Cadlao Island, one of the 431 properties in Palawan listed in Lamudi.
