Two of the most talented music artists are reportedly chosen to collaborate on the soundtrack of Leonardo DiCaprio's upcoming movie "The Great Gatsby." Apparently, Australian film director Baz Luhrmann wanted the unique music styles of Lady Gaga and Prince to his movie adaptation of the 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Big names in the music industry such as Kanye West, Jay-Z and Jack White are already working on the album. Undoubtedly, including Lady Gaga and Prince to this list of best-selling music artists will provide an exceptional sound for the movie soundtrack.

The Sun reports actress Adelaide Clemens, who portrays the character Catherine Wilson in "The Great Gatsby," has revealed about the exciting music collaboration of Lady Gaga and Prince in an interview with IndieWire.

"They have some new music that's going to be added to the film," Clemens said. "Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz and are writing songs for the film, and I don't think Warner Bros are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door. I don't know if I'm allowed to say that," the actress added.

Film director Baz Luhrmann, known for his works "Moulin Rouge" and "Australia" is teemed to deliver another fresh approach to the story of "The Great Gatsby" which according to film executives is staying true to "Fitzgerald's American classic and bringing it to life in a completely immersive, visually stunning and exciting way."

Initially, "The Great Gatsby" is due for a theater release this Christmas. Fearing that the film will not perform well in the box office, the schedule has been delayed. It is believed that "The Great Gatsby" will face tough competition with the other films set to be released on Christmas such as "Django Unchained," "Les Miserables" and "The Hobbit."

Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and Carey Mulligan also star in "The Great Gatsby" which will officially hit the cinemas on May 10, 2013.
