Kylie Jenner looks unrecognisable as she channeled her sister Kim Kardashian in her recent photo shoot for Interview magazine. The 18-year-old posed in a series of sexy shots that include flaunting her naked butt. However, a couple of photos of the model that show her almost lifeless sitting on a wheelchair and dressed in fetish clothes have sparked vehement reactions from disability advocates.

Jenner took some queues from Kardashian’s Paper magazine photos when she posed with a champagne glass and her naked butt in full display. The 18-year-old looked almost unrecognisable in her makeup and wig while she posed like a mannequin dressed in skin-tight latex body suits, bodices and buttless trousers.

The sexualised nature of her daring photos in the December/January issue of Interview magazine certainly caught the attention of readers. However, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star stirred violent reactions from those with disability issues when she posed like a “sex doll" in her latex corset and choker necklace while sitting on a wheelchair.

Jenner received backlash from netizens who thought it inappropriate to associate being bound to a wheelchair with sexuality and desirability. Emily Smith Beitiks, associate director of the Paul K. Longmore Institute on Disability in San Francisco, considered Jenner’s wheelchair photos as “deeply disturbing” since they only reinforce the notion that people with disabilities are powerless.

Beitiks told CNN that Jenner’s wheelchair photos for Interview magazine somehow highlight the career problems of the disabled in the fashion and entertainment industry. The photos are reportedly also offensive since they sexualised the struggles of the disabled people.

"I think she's literally being objectified made to look like a sex doll, and this wheelchair is an added element of passivity they're adding on,” Beitiks told CNN, adding that an apology from the publication would be nice.

However, Interview magazine did not apologise. Instead, a representative for the publication defended Jenner’s photos. In a statement sent to E News, the rep explained that the images were meant to show Jenner “in a variety of positions of power and control.”

However, others were still not pleased with Jenner’s wheelchair photos. Some took to Twitter to express their intense reactions and share their opinions.
