Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson skyrocketed to fame together as they starred opposite each other in the “Twilight” saga. A real relationship ensued between the two actors and eventually ended -- to the dismay of many, but to the relief of Stewart.

Stewart’s relationship ended with Pattinson in 2012, four years since the release of the first "Twilight" film. The split was apparently caused by the 26-year-old actress' affair with “Snow White And The Huntsman” director, Rupert Sanders, whom she was photographed kissing. But as she shared with T Magazine, that was the time in their relationship when nothing felt genuine anymore.

By 2012, the last film in the “Twilight” series, “Breaking Dawn Part 2,” had ended. In a large way, the public that was behind Stewart’s relationship with Pattinson were fans that held on tightly to the idea that their characters, Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, were really together.

“People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product,” Stewart said. “It wasn’t real life anymore. And that was gross to me.” She clarified that she never wanted to hide a part of herself, but that she would also never let herself just “become a part of a story for entertainment value.”
