Kristen Stewart went back to the time when she was dating her “Twilight” co-star, Robert Pattinson. The 26-year-old actress also shared what her view on love is, which changed after their relationship.

In an interview with the London Sunday Times, Stewart said the public was the enemy when the two of them were dating. The “Twilight” stars dated from 2008 to 2013.

"When I was dating Rob, the public were the enemy and that is no way to live," Stewart said. The actress admitted that she was so confused at that time and did not want the attention of the public. "I didn’t talk about my first relationships that went public because I wanted things that are mine to be mine," she told the London Sunday Times.

When she and Pattinson were together, she hated to see details of her life spreading. That was why she chose not to talk about her love life during that time.

In 2012, news spread that the actress had an affair with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director, Rupert Saunders. Glamour notes that was when her relationship with Pattinson started to break down.

Stewart’s relationship with Pattinson seems to have taught her that going public in her relationship is not too bad. She is now reportedly dating model Stella Maxwell, confessing that she is more open about her relationships and sexuality as going public can be good. "It was an opportunity to surrender a bit of what was mine, to make even one other person feel good about themselves," ET Online has quoted her saying.

Stewart has shot to worldwide fame for her role as Bella Swan in the “Twilight” saga, which was based on a book of the same name written by Stephenie Meyer. Before her role as Bella, she joined the cast of “Cold Creek Manor” in 2003 as the daughter of Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone.

The actress, who was born to an Australian mother, Jules Stewart, and John Stewart, also starred in other movies filmed between the “Twilight” instalments such as “Snow White and the Huntsman” (2012) and the “Cannes selection On the Road” (2012).

The last “Twilight” film was released in 2012. After her works in the franchise, she has starred in Olivier Assayas' “The Clouds of Sils Maria,” for which she won the Cesar Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also starred in “Panic Room,” in which she got a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Feature Film.
