After the scandal that Kristen Stewart had an illicit affair with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders during the filming of the fairytale movie, the actress spoke and said her piece.

After the news broke out, enraged Robert Pattinson and Robsten fans attacked the actress via Twitter calling Kristen Stewart a "home wrecker."

In an attempt to appease the fans, Kristen released a public apology through People's magazine.

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," Kristen said.

Just minutes after Kristen apologized to her boyfriend for four years, Rupert Sanders also released his own apology.

"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family ... My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."

The scandal made the headlines on July 24 after Kristen and Rob graced the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday looking so sweet. The pair was also seen earlier this month at the Comic Con event in San Diego, California often exchanging stares with each other.

Us Weekly obtained scandalous photos of Stewart and Sanders that showed the fling going on between the two.

Sources told People, "She wasn't having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn't have happened."

The 41-year-old director is currently married to British Vogue model Liberty Ross, and the couple has two children.

Robsten, on the other hand, started their low key relationship four years ago after meeting at the set of the first twilight film.
