Reality TV stars Kris and Bruce Jenner are officially divorced. After being married for 23 years, the couple is now finding their own way and discovering a new life apart from each other. In this week’s episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Bruce and Kris both talk about how much they are struggling with the aftermath of divorce. To cheer them up, their children decide to throw them separate parties to celebrate the new chapter in their lives.

Bruce Jenner has been living in a rented home in Malibu ever since he decided to move out nearly two years ago. He and Kris decided on a trial separation and they ended up finalising their divorce about a year later. Because he now lives alone, Bruce is no longer surrounded constantly by his family. When Kourtney Kardashian drops by to visit, Bruce takes the opportunity to open up.

Bruce says that only Brandon and Leah visit him regularly. His other children hardly ever come by to his house. He even admits that he also missies having Kris Jenner around. He says that she doesn’t even talk to him. He says that even though they are divorced that does not mean that he no longer likes her and doesn’t want to hang out with her.

He tells Kourtney that he wants to be able to keep the family going despite the divorce. Even though he’s enjoying the freedom and the peace and quiet of living alone, he admits that he often feels lonely. He says that he now feels like an outsider and sees the Jenners and the Kardashians forming their own groups on each side of him.

During lunch with his sons Brandon and Brody, the same topic is brought up. The boys ask him about his new single status and he tells them that he finds it boring. Brandon and Brody then decide that it’s time to throw him a big, crazy beach party and called it “Bruce on the Loose.”

Meanwhile, back at what used to be the Jenner family home in Calabasas. Kris is also struggling with her new single status. With the other kids gone she tells a friend that she feels like she’s living with her parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. At this time Kim and her family were living with Kris because their house was being renovated.

Kris tells her friend that she feels like her life is starting over and she feels guilty for deciding to move on. She also reveals that dating scares the sh-t out of her. Her struggle isn’t easily masked and her daughters can see that she is not having an easy time dealing with it. Things got even worse when Kourtney reveals to Kris that Bruce appears to be dating someone that Kris knows. In fact, the new girl is one of Kris’ closest friends. This upsets Kris and her daughters feel the need to cheer her up. When they hear about the “Bruce on the Loose” party, Kim and Khloe come up with their own shindig called “Kris J needs a Lei (Lay).’ The party is Hawaian=themed with the name making a pun between the traditional Hawaiian flower necklace called a “Lei” and the word “Lay.”

Kim, Khloe and Kourtney manage to pull of the small party and Kris expresses her appreciation. Unfortunately, while her daughters’ concern and efforts made her feel happy, the absence of Bruce and the other guys in the family made Kris really miss them even more. She says that the whole thing gave her a reality check and made her miss what she used to have.

Over in Malibu, Bruce and the Jenner kids also push through with their party. Only Kendall was able to make it and despite his efforts to enjoy his beach party, Bruce also admits that he’s upset that none of the other kids were there. The girls feel guilty about it and they decide to take him out to lunch. The girls take the time out to reach out to Bruce and make him feel like he’s still part of the family.

All the ups and downs and more drama will be revealed as the family struggles with the divorce throughout the rest of season 10 of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” The series airs every Sunday at 9pm on E.
