Kris Jenner thinks that her daughter Kourtney Kardashian is doing really well after her breakup with Scott Disick. Now a single mum of three young kids, Kourtney has shown great strength, according to Kris. She opened up about her daughter and the rest of their famous family in a feature in the August issue of Haute Living.

“She’s kind of my hero right now—she makes good decisions. She always puts her children first and is accepting, loving, and dedicated to her family—she doesn’t get easily ruffled,” Kris told Haute Living. Kourtney has three children with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.

They were in a relationship for over nine years before they called it quits in early July. Despite breaking up, Kourtney and Scott have made a point of putting the children first. Scott has moved out but Kourtney has allowed him to spend a lot of time with the kids. He has been spotted out with them on several occasions especially with the two older kids, Mason, 5 and Penelope, 3. The former couple also have 8-month-old Reign.

“This situation has made me realize how strong she is,” said Kris. Anyone who watches the family’s reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and its various spin-offs would know exactly what Kris is talking about.

Much of Kourtney and Scott’s tumultuous relationship has been documented on-screen. They have had their ups and downs and just like the rest of the family, including Scott, their strengths and weaknesses have also been exposed.

Kim Kardashian started the show dealing with the aftermath of her sex tape scandal. She also went through her now infamous 72-day marriage with NBA player Kris Humphries all in the span of a few episodes.

Khloe Kardashian and her ex-husband Lamar Odom also shared the ups and downs of their 4-year marriage through the show. They even had their own spin-off titled “Khloe and Lamar.” Rob Kardashian and his personal issues have also been a recurring theme in the reality show.

Most recently, the younger kids Kendall and Kylie have been coming into their own and they have been spending more time in the spotlight. Lastly, who can forget Caitlyn Jenner’s very public transition into a woman?

Over all, Kourtney and the rest of the clan have been through a lot and Kris has been right there with them. Kris ended the interview saying that she’s happy to be making new happy memories with her grandchildren, just like she once did with her own kids.
