We all know that supermodel Kate Upton and "Dancing With The Stars" alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy are now officially dating. The couple were spotted holding hands as they took a casual stroll through New York City last week. We bet you all want to dig more and know more about the new man in Kate's life. So read on.

The Ukrainian born dancer is a not only a professionally trained Latin Ballroom dance champion but also a choreographer too. The 33-year-old got fame as he appeared on the American television series "Dancing with the Stars," -Season 2. But there was no stopping for him and the brilliant dancer gave 14 appearances on the different seasons of the show. Chmerkovskiy was paired with celeb dancer Mel B and won the second-place in season five. However his most recent performance has been with "Entourage" actress Debi Mazar.

The multi-talented dancer also made it to the final round four times, with two runner-ups and two third place finishes. His dancing career is moving on the right track as Chmerkovskiy has been able to earn well enough to earn three dance studios in the New York City area apart for two in other cities.

Since all good dancers are known to be good lovers, Chmerkovskiy is not an exception either. The Edgewater, New Jersey, resident was in a relationship with fellow DWTS pro Karina Smirnoff in the summer of 2008. The couple announce their engagement a few months later but it did not last longer as they reportedly called off their engagement the following year.

Born to a Jewish father and a Christian mother, Chmerkovskiy is involved in the creation of "Dance Team USA," a non-profit organization dedicated to training and paying up for Dance Sport participants. Popular with Eastern European families, the sport deals in competitive ballroom dancing as compared to exhibition dancing. The Maksim Chmerkovskiy Productions organizes these performances globally.

The Ukrainian dancer enjoys a huge fan following on "Dancing With the Stars" and his fans are eagerly awaiting for his return on the show.

Chmerkovskiy is currently supporting Elizabeth Berkley and his dancer brother Val on the show and has been seen asking for votes for them.

"If you're not voting for @iamValC & @ElizBerkley on @DancingABC , you're not getting on my ship! #whateverworks," he wrote on his Instagram page.

The Ukrainian hunk has just wrapped up his run in the Broadway show "Forever Tango" alongside former co-star Karina Smirnoff, with whom he was linked too. However, the dancing star now has all eyes for Kate Upton as the pair are seen publically at many places.
