The Kmart ad called "Show Your Joe," featuring a TV commercial for Joe Boxer (with a certain "Dexter" actor) is causing a stir among those who've seen it. It starts out innocent but towards the end, some people think it's too sexy and suggestive for an ad on TV, especially from a family-friendly company. Some people have even claimed that the video is "harmful to society".

Kmart's latest advertisement which features six men dressed in suits and playing bells behind a table seem cute and appropriate enough for the holidays. But, the table is rolled away after a while, revealing the men to be in their Joe Boxer underwear. And then, they sing the popular Christmas ditty "Jingle Bells." Check out the video above to see the Kmart Joe Boxer ad "Show Your Joe."

Trivia: The guy left of the middle (beside the guy in gold boxers) is reportedly the villain in the last season of "Dexter." The actor's name is Darri Ingolfsson and he played the character Oliver Saxon, also known as Daniel Vogel and the "Brain Surgeon."

Here are some negative comments from people who've seen it on YouTube:

"This is a horrible commerical (sic). UN-COOTH," said Tre Faulkner on the YouTube comments section.

"There (sic) complaining about this commercial cause of kids so this might be off the air soon," added Robert Nettles on the YouTube comments section.

However, there were also a lot of people who liked the ad and found it clever, funny, entertaining and effective.

"From Australia here. I find this very clever, especially when the guy in the gold shorts changes key by squatting lower. Shame when confronted with something pretty innocent like this adults can't stop reacting as if they are still children and somehow find it offensive. Most boys would laugh, most girls if they understood it would think it's "just stupid boys stuff". Just celebrate, celebrate Christmas, celebrate our differences but most of all USA, celebrate the fact that your Kmart advertising is clever and entertaining, unlike Australia," Peter Jones commented on the YouTube video.

"This is going to go down in history as one of the great ads. Those spewing "righteous indignation" don't know a seminal moment when they see it," said Greg Monks on the YouTube comments found below the Kmart Joe Boxer ad video.

"Funny- People are getting worked up over this commercial, but if it were the Victorious (sic) Secret Santa/Angel collection no one would say a word," said Horatio Cooper on the YouTube comments.

Kmart was asked by Yahoo Shine about the Joe Boxer ad and the company said that they didn't mean to offend people with it.

"The Kmart "Show Your Joe" commercial playfully showcases Joe Boxer's men's clothing available at Kmart," said a Kmart spokesperson via an emailed statement to Yahoo Shine.

"We regret if some people found the commercial offensive, as that was not our intent."

The Kmart Joe Boxer "Show Your Joe" ad has already been viewed 13,115,914 times on YouTube as of this writing. 48,995 have already liked it. Meanwhile, 2,811 people have disliked it. A link of the ad posted on Kmart's Facebook page also showed that it has been shared 2,792 times already.

Boston University advertising professor Christopher Cakebread also offered his views on the Kmart Joe Boxer ad.

"It's doubtful that Kmart was trying to rile up or anger consumers," Cakebread told Yahoo Shine.

"It's likelier that they're trying to drum up new, hipper clientele and in the process, they're alienating some of their consumers," he added.

The Kmart ad Joe Boxer video has indeed caused a stir among viewers and is still making waves up to now, being debated on in the Internet and whether or not it is appropriate. But, is it really "harmful to society?" Well, some think so while others just see it as it, a cheeky commercial for the Holidays that set out to be noticed and is now accomplishing its goal, and maybe even getting more customers to buy Joe Boxers for themselves or as gifts to guys.
