“Kingsman: The Secret Service” might have a sequel. There is buzz that “Kingsman 2” can be in works and director Matthew Vaughn already has some plans for it.

Matthew reportedly plans to resurrect one of the pivotal characters who died in “Kingsman: The Secret Service”. He said in his recent interview with USA Today that Colin Firth could return in the sequel. “A lot of people are very upset that Colin might not be in the sequel but I’m coming up with ideas at the moment. If people buy tickets in America, I’ve got a feeling we’ll figure out a way for having Colin back,” he said.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead

In “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” Colin’s character Harry dies at the end of the film. He is shot from a long distance in an epic fight. Harry comes under the impact of Richmond Valentine and later Valentine puts a bullet through Harry’s head. Harry is shown collapsing but his dead body is not shown. This reportedly leaves room for bringing back Harry in the sequel.

The director also spoke about killing off Colin’s character in the film. Apparently, it was a “big decision” but imperative for the storyline, reports Cinema Blend. Moreover, if Marv Films plans to go ahead with the sequel, then Colin’s character might appear in flashbacks. Moreover, “Kingsman 2” will be “a modern day gentleman spy.” It will reportedly focus on Taron Egerston’s character Eggy.

“Kingsman: The Secret Service” is based on the book The Secret Service by Dave Gibbons and mark Miller. The film stars Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton and Michael Caine. Matthew and Jane Goldman have written the screenplay of the film. The film is a spy-action comedy and tells a story of a spy organisation which employees a street kid for a competitive training program before a cruel genius makes way for a global threat.

The film was released on Jan 29, 2015 and it received positive reviews from the critics. The principal photography of the film took place in Deepcut, Surrey.
