Kim Kardashian West has done it again. Her brand new Kimoji App has officially broken the Internet, or at least the App Store. Following its release on Monday, the App has crashed the App Store and has landed on the number 1 spot in the download charts.

“Ahhhhhhhh I still can't believe we broke the entire App Store!!!! #KIMOJI,” said Kim, as she tweeted on Monday afternoon. Her reaction follows numerous reports stating that the Apple App Store crashed on Monday due to an overwhelming number of downloads. “I can't believe so many people downloaded my KIMOJI app that it affected the entire app store!,” she said.

She also tweeted a series of apologies, to those who have been inconvenienced by the crash. She assured fans that her app’s tech team and the App Store are working closely together to get everything up and running as soon as possible.

Once everything was back in order, the download charts immediately reflected the massive number of downloads for the reality star’s Kimoji app. She and some fans shared screen shots of the App Store’s charts, which shows the Kimoji App on the top spot.

BBC however, isn't too quick to jump to conclusions. It reports that there is no solid evidence that it was in fact, Kim’s App that broke the store, considering that it occurs fairly often. However, maintenance works and other factors which may have caused the crash at the same time that the Kimoji App was released, can’t be proven either. So in the end, it remains plausible that Kim Kardashian’s app may have caused the crash.

"If there are a lot of people who are downloading all at the same time, it's possible they can overload the servers and therefore cause the App Store to be a lot slower and even to go down if it's too much traffic for it to cope with,” says Rahul Joshi, managing director of The App Geeks.

E! Online describes the app as “the gift that keeps on giving.” It features hundreds of emojis that have been designed after Kim, her famous assets, and several other iconic looks and situations in her life. Some icons feature her famous backside, her hourglass figure, her varying hairstyles, and even some products that she has been endorsing, like the waist trainer.

The Kimoji App is Kim’s latest venture into technological entrepreneurship, after the massive success of her online game titled “Kim Kardashian Hollywood.” She and her sisters also launched their own personal websites and apps, which have also gained a wide subscriber base.
