Reality star Kim Kardashian West took the digital world by storm in 2014. With the release of her mobile game “Kim Kardashian Hollywood,” Kim made a reputation for herself as a digital media tycoon. Apart from her other business ventures in fashion and multi-media. Kim is expected to rake in a whopping U.S. $85 million in 2015 from her mobile app alone.

“Kim Kardashian Hollywood” was released last summer and has been chosen as Adweek Magazine’s hottest mobile game of the year. According to the magazine, the game earns up to U.S. $700,000 a day. Game developer Glu Mobile reportedly shares profits with the reality star with 45% making its way to Kim’s coffers. Because of the lucrative deal, the game is expected to earn Ms. Kardashian an additional U.S. $85 million in 2015.

When Kim sat down with Adweek to do a cover shoot, she also talked about the game and her family’s success in monetizing the Kardashian brand. She also says that choosing to push through with the game was a choice she made with the help of her husband Kanye West.

“I had just had the baby [North West] and so I was being really choosy about what I was working on.” said Kim. When she received the call from Glu Mobile, she said that Kanye was immediately on board with the idea. She then decided to go through with it but made sure that the game was relatable and truly reflected her lifestyle and personality.

She says that one reason for the game’s success is how it mirrors her real-life activities. The game is updated according to the outfits she is seen in as well as the places she visits. This concept was not always the plan but as soon as she got feedback from fans who enjoy being in the same places with her in real life and in the game, she made an effort to inform Glu Mobile of her plans and itinerary.

The Kardashian Jenner clan also has a reputation of bleeding into each other’s projects and Kim’s mobile game is no exception. She says that the addition of her family members into the app has made it more interesting. Her sister Kourtney initially resisted inclusion into the game but has since been added along with Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian. The latest update brings in Kim’s younger sister Kendall and Kylie into the mix as well. It remains to be seen how much longer Kim’s game will remain popular but for now, Kim is on top of her game.
