Kim Kardashian Enraged: Katie Couric’s Apology to Kim Kardashian for 'Hurting her Feelings' [PHOTOS/VIDEOS]

Recently, Kim Kardashian and Katie Couric are in a conflict with words and hashtags on TV, Twitter and Intagram. Katie Couric is the 56-year-old journalist who hosts the ABC daytime talk show "Katie" on weekdays. Katie Couric questioned the massive fame of Kim Kardashian's family in a recent interview in an In Touch article published Wednesday - after sending a baby gift to Kim.

"Katie" tackles a broad range of topics -- some of them important, some of them just plain fun. But this time, commenting on Kim generated controversy. She said:

"I don't understand - why are they so famous? I think it's mostly teenage girls that are interested."

Katie Couric following Kim Kardashian's enraged Instagram post accusing Katie of being a "fake media friend" released a statement:

"I've met Kim before and I think she's a really sweet person."

"I was responding to a reporter's question, and explaining how I'm intrigued by the public's fascination with her family. I didn't mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I'm happy for Kim and Kanye," Katie Couric told E! News.

Kim Kardashian was upset with the entire incident. She let her fury out via Twitter and Instagram, posting a photo of the gift and card she received from Katie Couric with the hashtags #IHateFakeMediaFriends, #MayIHumblySuggestYouNotSendGiftsThenTalkS---.
