Kim Kardashian West has broken yet another social media record. This time around, she has edged out Beyoncé as the most followed person on Instagram. And following them on third place is pop star Taylor Swift.

As of this writing, Kardashian’s account boasts a whopping 44.2 million followers, while Beyoncé has 44 million followers. According to ABC report, Kardashian surpassed Beyonce’s numbers on Monday, Aug. 24. When ABC first reported, the reality star had an edge of 70,000 followers over the singer, and a day later, she was nearly 200,000 followers ahead of Beyonce.

Tech Insider reported after observing both the accounts over the past several weeks that the number of people following Kardashian has increased more rapidly. Accoridng to the website, one of the reasons could because the reality star posts more often and uses more personal captions.

Meanwhile, pop star Taylor Swift comes in third place, with 43.7 million followers on Instagram . However, she only has over 600 posts so far. In comparison, Kardashian has over 3,000 post, and Beyoncé has only a thousand.

This isn’t the first time that Kardashian and her family members have found themselves breaking Instagram records. She had previously held the record for the most-liked Instagram post. The photo featured her and Kanye's wedding kiss, which was taken in May 2014. The record was later surpassed by another Kardashian-Jenner family member. Earlier this year, Model Kendall Jenner dethroned Kim and Kanye when one of her posts became the most-liked.

Caitlyn Jenner is also a social media record holder. She broke President Barack Obama’s record for the fastest growing Twitter account when in June, she amassed 1 million followers in only four hours.
