In the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie adaption, Kim Cattrall revealed that she is putting up a good fight against contender Uma Thurman for the mystifying role of Elena Lincoln, also known as Mrs. Robinson. The "Sex and the City" actress confirmed that she has been deemed to portray the character of this woman who introduced handsome billionaire Christian Grey into the world of BDSM when he was a teen.

"As far as I'm aware it's potentially between me and Uma Thurman," Cattrall revealed to Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O. "I think we are in minds at the moment. That's based on a lot of people's blogs and desires at the moment. As far as I know they are still writing the script so the casting is some way down the line," the 56-year-old actress further added during the interview.

Heraldsun.com reports Kim Cattrall happens to be a big fan of E.L. James' hit erotic novels.

"It's just been a sensation. It's truly extraordinary. Especially women on their kindles and with the way we like to whisper things!" Cattrall exclaimed.

Who can forget Kim Cattrall's character, sultry and sexy Samantha Jones in "Sex and the City," Ms Cattrall will actually have no problems whatsoever with nudity or filming sex scenes. This alone could be enough for her to snatch the role from the 42-year-old Uma Thurman.

According to the Us Weekly poll for "Who should play Elena Lincoln in Fifty Shades of Grey," Kim Cattrall has already garnered 46% of the votes against other potential actresses for the role such as Demi Moore, Charlize Theron and Halle Berry.
