WWE.com reported that, previously, NXT Champion Kevin Owens defeated John Cena at WWE Elimination Chamber. Owens has had an impressive run despite being new to WWE. He debuted and defeated Sami Zayn at NXT TakeOver: R Evolution. During their rematch at TakeOver: Unstoppable, Owens won the NXT Championship.

When he had the opportunity to face John Cena at Elimination Chamber, he executed the Pop-up Powerbomb to achieve his biggest win yet. Owens started the match confident and ready for what Cena had for him. He only joined WWE in December 2014 but Owens did not disappoint and is finally reaching the peak of his 15-year career.

WhatCulture reported that Owens is set to have a rematch against Cena where “The Champ” will attempt to redeem himself. There are rumors that Cena might put the US Title at stake or add a stipulation to make the match more exciting. Since Owens won a non-title match during their first meeting, a title match seems more fitting for the two stars.

The Money in the Bank Ladder Match is also one of the most anticipated activities on June 14, with six wrestlers about to battle for the title, namely Roman Reigns, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Neville and Dolph Ziggler. It is also rumored that Seth Rollins might be defending his WWE Title against Dean Ambrose.

The latest news from Owens is that he is mocking John Cena and his United States Championship Open Challenge by holding an NXT Championship Open Challenge on Smackdown at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Thursday night, June 4, 2015, according to WrestleZone. WWE Money in the Bank will air live on the WWE Network and on PPV from Columbus, Ohio.
