Kevin Hart launches rap career with ‘Baller Alert,’ ventures into tech with KEVMOJI app
Comedian Kevin Hart is now officially a rapper after the “Ride Along” actor finally released his maiden hip-hop soundtrack Monday.
Also known as “Chocolate Droppa,” the 37-year-old standup comedian dropped his maiden track “Baller Alert,” featuring T.I. and Migos, under Motown Records.
On Instagram, Hart described himself as the up-and-coming comedic rock star of the hip-hop industry.
“My message to all of you rappers is to duck because Droppa is coming out and he's shooting at everybody!” he said.
“Baller Alert” is part of the “What Now? (The Mixtape),” of the upcoming film “Kevin Hart: What Now?” which will be shown in theatres starting Oct. 14. The film documents Hart’s performance before a crowd of 50,000 people at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Aside from his show business career, Hart is also ventured into the tech industry with his Hartbeat Digital, LLC, which released KEVMOJI app on Sep. 13.
According to the app’s description on Apple iTunes, KEVMOJI lets users “change the face of the emoji game. Download KEVMOJI by Kevin Hart Keyboard and stickers to start texting like a boss.”
The app is available for purchase for users 17 years of age and older for US$1.99 (AU$2.59).
