Kentucky is the no. seed according to the 2015 NCAA tournament bracket projections by Jerry Palm of CBS Sports. As the conference play is already set in full motion, everyone is looking for the top seeds to separate from the rest of the pack. In the next couple of weeks, everything will be fast paced as teams attempt on vying for a high seed.

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) has been very competitive and dominating. In fact, two - the Duke Blue Devils and Virginia Cavaliers - of the four no. 1 seeds belong to ACC. However, there seems to be a big shift of fortune in Big 10 basketball following Badgers' non-conference slate as Kentucky was proclaimed the no. 1 overall team. The Wildcats apparently managed to beat every comer and with relative ease, dispatched all its opponents namely: Grand Canyon Antelopes (85-45), Buffalo Bulls (71-52), Kansas Jayhawks (72-40), Boston University Terriers (89-65), Montana St. Bobcats (86-28), UT Arlington Mavericks (92-44), Providence Friars (58-38), Texas Longhorns (63-51), Eastern Kentucky Colonels (82-49), Columbia Lions (56-46, (84-70) UCLA Bruins (83-44), Louisville Cardinals (58-50), Ole Miss Rebels (89-86 OT), Texas A&M Aggies (70-64 2OT).

In breaking down the regions, the top four seeds are picked with a corresponding sleeper team, which should have at least seven seed or lower. The Midwest Region includes Kentucky Wildcats, Louisville Cardinals, Maryland Terrapins, and Seton Hall Pirates. Kentucky Wildcats, among the four, is in the first rank seed. Maryland Terrapins is quite impressive considering that this is their first season in the conference. Hall is considered the biggest in the bracket. The sleeper team for the Midwest Region is Harvard Crimson of which Seton Hall doesn't want playing against. Harvard's performance has been proven and tested in the NCAA tournament play and they only aim to make a Sweet 16, if not more.

To sum up the rest of the regions, the West consists of Wisconsin Badgers, Gonzaga Bulldogs, Utah Utes, and Oklahoma Sooners with sleeper team, Michigan State. The East Region on the other hand is comprised of the Duke Blue Devils, Villanova Wildcats, Texas Longhorns, and the Wichita State Shockers with sleeper team, Stephen F. Austin.

Lastly, the South Region, which is composed of Virginia Cavaliers, Arizona Wildcats, Kansas Jayhawks, and VCU Rams. Its sleeper team is West Virginia, with the Mountaineers leading the Big 12.
