Kendall Jenner is receiving flak from fellow runway models for being a celebrity and a reality star as many of her peers believe that it helps the teenager get more of media coverage. The half-sister of Kim Kardashian has walked the ramp at the New York Fashion Week, which kicked off last week at Lincoln Center in New York City. The 18-year-old showed off her incredible body and tattoos for famous fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger's show on Monday. But some of her peers are not very happy with the success she has achieved.

Sierra Illig, a model with MSA Model Management believes that Kendall's presence on the ramp affects all the "non-celebrity" models. She told Fox News that Kendall is taking away the modeling jobs of other models who are not famous like her.

"Unfortunately, it affects non-celebrity models by taking away paying jobs and great opportunities for non-celebrity models to succeed in their career. It is hard to see our modeling jobs being handed over so quickly to celebrities simply because of their fame, familiar face, and Hollywood connections," revealed Illig to Fox News.

Click Model Management Director Harold Mindel also supports Sierra's thoughts and says that Kendall's presence under shadows a model who is not a reality show star or a celebrity. Mindel believes that Kendall's success is dependent on the fact that she is "Kim Kardashian's sister and Kanye West's sis in law and went to Valentino's house."

Casey, the president and owner of modeling agency Maggie also complained to Fox News that fashion shows are all about getting the media attention. For Kendall, it is easy to remain in news as she works in her family's show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" but it is not the same for other non-celebrity models. Kendall's ramp walk has been covered by most media agencies because of her celebrity status.

However, some models are also of the opinion that Kendall's limelight may be a temporary phase.

"These newbie models are hot one week. If they haven't put in their dues, their footprint probably won't last," model Molly Fletcher told the publication.
