Katy Perry's 'Part of Me' video, the newest single from her new album, premiered over at MTV and was directed by Ben Mor. As seen in the teaser where the singer was getting all ready for a war, they shot the music video at the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base right in California.

Here we feature some screen captures taken from the official video itself, all for your popstar pleasure.

It is refreshing to see Katy Perry work it out tough in this brand new video. And even with that fierce look, military training, and very short hair, no one can deny that pretty face she always has as a charm. Truly, her fans will see everything about her in an entirely new light - the green light for the night vision.

If fans have been used to seeing her wearing whipped cream bras and colorful dresses, it would surely interest fans to see her extremely boyish in this video. And with this dark video for an upcoming album with very gloomy and dark lyrics, it was perfect for her to sport an even darker hair color - her signature jet black shade.

So why the marine theme? Apart from the recent divorce battles that she has gone through with ex-husband Russell Brand, she has also realized how important it is to pay tribute for some men and women who have placed their lives on the line for the majority of us. For her, it was a brand new level of defining sacrifice.
