Katy Perry claimed she does not think smoking weed is a cool thing to do personally, so she does not smoke weed, even in Amsterdam, where some of the best types of weed are. The “Roar” singer said the effects did not bode well with her, making her weirder than she currently feels she is.

Katy Perry herself shared that her partying days are over, especially when it comes to smoking weed. The “Dark Horse” singer did not try any weed while on the European leg of her Prismatic World Tour.

"I'm going to go to the red-light district tonight, actually, but I'll just say this: the weed doesn't agree with me,’” Katy said on the Elvis Duran radio show on Wednesday. She did not attempt to smoke weed even if she was in Amsterdam because she knows firsthand what it could do to her. "'I turn into more of a weirdo than I actually am!” she explained. The singer even said she does not do cocktails anymore. She would rather have red wine than cocktails.

This is not the first time Katy shared that she does not smoke weed or talked about weed smoking. Back in January 2014, she shared with a GQ reporter that when she attended the American Music Awards in November of the previous year, she could smell a faint cannabis smell from Rihanna’s room. Although she has no problem with other people smoking weed, she shared that she is “not friends with it.” She added that she cannot do the stuff because she feels like it is “killing” her. In the October 2013 issue of Elle Canada, Katy also said she wondered how Rihanna could look so fresh when she was such a notorious weed smoker and always on Instagram even up to early hours of the morning.

For her part, Rihanna hardly concealed this fact about herself. She showed photos of herself on Instagram that were pot-related. However, Hollywood Life reported last year that the “Stay” singer already made a commitment to cut back drastically on her “blowing fire” habit because she wanted to be healthy. The source even said the singer wanted to quit smoking altogether.
