Katy Perry recently joined the list of the most awkward stage kisses in history. The "Dark Horse" singer was kissed by a female fan at the Rock in Rio festival in Brazil in September 2015.

CNN reports that during a performance, Perry invited a young girl onstage. The fan was overwhelmed with being chosen by her idol that she could not resist touching Katy nonstop. The “Roar” singer obviously did not enjoy the moment.

“She’s kissing my neck!” Perry told the crowd as the fan hugged and groped her nonstop. The fan was wearing a smiley-face bra and was identified by sources as Rayane. The singer eventually brushed it off and laughed at the moment, but the awkwardness was evident.

Here are four other cringe-worthy stage kisses by celebrities.

1. Drake and Madonna on Apr. 12. Madonna made a surprise appearance during Drake’s performance at Coachella. The rapper was singing “Madonna” when the Queen of Pop suddenly came out, tilted Drake’s head back and gave him a big kiss. Drake was obviously shocked at the moment and was left stunned for seconds, Entertainment Weekly reports.

2. Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep in 2010. News.com relates that Bullock suddenly face-attacked Streep at the 2010 Critics Choice Awards. Bullock said that the joke was part of a funny feud between the two of them.

3. Halle Berry and Adrien Brody on Mar. 23, 2003. At the 75th Academy Awards, Halle Berry announced that Brody won Best Actor for “The Pianist.” The actor went onstage, embraced her and followed it with a sudden make-out session. Berry was shocked with the whole approach but gamely smiled afterwards. Click here to see a video of it from YouTube.

4. Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera in 2003. The notorious smooching session between the Queen and Princess of Pop at the 2003 MTV VMAs was a dream for thousands of men around the globe. However, a lot of people were left shocked at the time, considering that Madonna is over twice the age of the “Oops, I Did It Again” singer. Former “ The Voice ” judge Christina Aguilera also joined in on the fun, but it was clear that the spotlight was shining brighter on Madonna and Britney’s moment onstage.

5. Alicia Silverstone and Jim Carrey in 1997. Silverstone presented the Best Comedic Performance award to Carrey for his role in "The Cable Guy" as Ernie "Chip" Douglas. When Carrey went onstage to receive the said award, he grabbed Silverstone’s face and planted a kiss on her. Carrey apologised to Silverstone after realising that she felt humiliated by it, according to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb).
