Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have had a cold relationship since Taylor allegedly accused Katy of pinching three dancers from her “Red” tour in 2012, but Perry doesn’t see it that way, and she now says that Swift should apologise to her.

She announced this on Twitter on Saturday when a user asked her if she would collaborate with Swift. Katy soon hit back with, “If she says sorry, sure!”

The tweet sent fans into a state of frenzy, obviously. “WOAAAHHH,” a fan wrote, while another added, “@katyperry’s responses to tweets are perfect!” Katy’s tweet has hit 20,000 retweets and has been liked by over 25,000 fans. However, some fans also believed that Katy’s page had been hacked.

But it doesn’t look like Taylor will present a peace offering any time soon after Katy’s father previously claimed that the Perry Swift feud “ain’t over yet.” The feud fuelled when Taylor apparently referred to their disagreement in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone magazine when she revealed that her song “Bad Blood” was about a “straight-up enemy” who tried to obstruct her trek.

“She did something so horrible. I was like ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business,” Swift said at the time.

Although Katy has never spoken about their disagreement in any interviews, in the past she vented her resentment by apparently proceeding insults towards Taylor on social media. After Swift’s Rolling Stone interview was published, Katy took to social media tweeting, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing,” a reference made to Rachel McAdams’ two-faced character in “Mean Girls.”

The spiteful fallout attracted headlines again recently after Taylor broke up with DJ Calvin Harris, who later accused Taylor of trying to “bury” him like she did to Katy. And on the same day, Katy gave a nod to Calvin's rant in the form of a Hilary Clinton gif on her Twitter account.

Though the chances of Taylor apologising to Katy are thin, fans will have to wait and see what happens.
