Vivacious model Kate Upton has all reasons to smile as she arrived at the LAX spending her weekend at the Tinsel town. The sizzling beauty has been named “Model of the Year” and Kate is set to be presented of the high profile award at the 10th Style Awards happening at the Lincoln Center on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Will Kate give an acceptance speech? It will be refreshing to hear the buxom model speak for a change and not see her ample assets and see her captivating stares at the magazines.

The 21-year-old model is one of the fewest models who have received the top award in the fashion industry as such a young age.

Taping of the 10th Style Awards will be held this week but it will be aired only ten days after the actual event. The show, hosted by Paris Hilton’s former BFF, and reality star Nicole Richie, will be aired on CNN on Sept. 14, 7 p.m. The Huffington Post noted that this is the first time the fashion awards show will be aired on television since it began.

Kate joins other runway queens and catwalk models who have already received the top fashion award including, Joan Smalls.

The Florida-raised young model began her career in the fashion industry when she was 19. She is best known for her February 2012 cover of Sports Illustrated which she recently claimed had given her “terrible feelings for a solid one month” after it was released on news stands.

In a recent interview for the September 2013 issue of Elle Magazine U.S. Kate revealed that after appearing on Sports Illustrated, she was sent to a vacuum where she felt used and mistreated, particularly by men.
